March 31, 2007- Groton,CT - Poquonnock Bridge, Working Fire, Auto Dealership


Chief Paige & Captain Douchette

"1075 Chief" Batt 58 Chief Manfredi "Accountability Officer"




PBFD Engine Co's 33, 32, and Ladder Co. 35 where dispatched to 340 Gold Star Hwy for reported smoke coming from the roof of a Auto Dealership. Upon arrival Eng Co 33 reported heavy smoke showing from the Exposure A side and from the roof. a first alarm assignment was transmitted. Subbase C-25 responded as 3rd due Eng Co, and C-15 2nd due Truck Co. Mystic G-57 Rescue Co, and Old Mystic G-67 responded as the FAST unit. Groton ambulance, and L&M Medic 12. the fire was declared under control in less than 20 minutes by Chief Paige. The initial cause of this fire was a mulch fire which extended the Exposure A side of the bldg, and into the cockloft.

Feb 16,2007 - Waterford, Auto Accident Rte 32 @ Bestview




Around 03:30 hrs on 2/16/07 Waterford Co's #2&5, and L&M Medic 11 were dispatched to Rte. 32 N/B for a reported 1 car rollover. Upon arrival units found 1 car on its roof with 2 victims both ejected. 1 DOA on scene the 2nd victim was pronounced DOA a short time after W-200's arrival at Backus Hospital.

Waterford, Auto Extrication I-395 S/B,













Friday 3/16/07 @ 12:30hrs during a heavy snow storm Waterford Fire Companies 5, 4, and 2 along w/ L&M Medic 11 were dispatched to I-395 s/b near the Vauxhall Street overpass for a 1 car Auto Accident. Co. #5 Assistant Chief Hennessey arrived on scene and confirmed a 1 car rollover w/entrapment. Upon arriving all companies went to work to stabilize the vehicle, and extricate the victim in under 10 minutes. The victim was transported by ALS to L&M hospital.

New London, CT Working Fire @ 127 Connecticut Av. Batt 2, Group 2

Better late than never!!


















Better late the never! While waiting for my kids at the bus stop NLFD transmitted a working fire for 127 Connecticut Ave. of course after patiently waiting for the bus I buffed the call. At least there was still hose on the ground!
