May 15, 2007 Westerly RI, "Bradford Section" Multiple Alarm Fire, Bradford Dye Factory




















5/15/07- Around 17:45 hrs a fire was reported at the Bradford Dye Factory located in the Bradford area of Westerly RI. First arriving companies encountered heavy fire and smoke conditions in the factory with the possibility of hazardous materials involved. Multiple alarms were soon transmitted with mutual aid responding from several towns from Rhode Island and Connecticut. Several ladder companies were placed in operation and Haz Mat Decon was established for potential chemicals involved in the fire. The fire was declared under control several hours later.

May 14, 2007 Waterford, Auto Accident Rte 32 n/b @ Richards Grove






5/14/2007 around 21:30 hrs. Waterford Fire Companies 2 & 5, and L&M Medic 11 were dispatched to Rte 32 n/b @ Richards Grove Rd. for a 2 car mva. Units arrived and confirmed a 2 car w/entrapment. The victim was extricated and transported w/minor injuries to L&M Hospital. The incident was declared under control a short time after By W-2 Chief Carson.

May 3, 2007 - Old Mystic, Auto Accident @ Al Harvey Rd.




5/3/2007 shortly after 19:00 hrs Old Mystic FD, Stonington Ambulance, and L&M Medic 12 were dispatched to Al Harvey Rd. for a reported Auto Accident. OMFD G-69-2 arrived on scene and reported a single vehicle into a rock w/ 1 patient ejected. Lifestar was requested to the scene and the LZ was a field next to the crash site. The patient was found unconscious and unresponsive w/severe head injuries.After providing Advanced Life Support the patient was airlifted to Hartford Hospital in critical condition. The incident was declared under control a short time latter.
